RN Nurse, Oncology Nurse
Overview
Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Infusion Department at Dallas Presbyterian location. Full‑time position Monday‑Friday 8:30am–5pm with no weekends, no on‑call shifts, and no major holidays.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional materials.
- Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Administer all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage, route, time and technique.
- Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable.
- Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems and symptom management.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports and maintain central line catheter devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
Education/Training
Level I
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Maintain continuing education requirements.
- 0–3 years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
Level II
- Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
Level Senior
- Minimum five (5) years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred.
- Oncology certification preferred.

Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
