Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinical Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This position will support our Dallas Sammons location. This is a full-time Monday-Friday position (8:30am-5pm) with no weekends, calls, or major holidays.

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for patients in accordance with national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. The RN must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participate in company‑wide quality initiatives. The role supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties and responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
- Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient’s chart.
- Facilitate communication between patient/family and the interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
- Assist patients in locating available community resources.
- Collaborate professionally with inter‑professional teams.
- Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
