10 hour day shifts
Job Description Duties/Responsibilities- Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate the nursing care provided on a pediatric unit which cares for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school age, and adolescents, with medical and surgical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions, as well as children with developmental disabilities in PACU
- Professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, for a designated time frame, and provides quality care to these patients in PACU
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in PACU
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Hold current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or is eligible for reciprocity and holds a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners to practice professional nursing
- 1 or more years of experience as an RN
- PACU nursing experience required
- Current CPR certification required
- Must obtain PALS certification within 1 year of employment
- Demonstrate advanced and mature critical thinking and assessment skills
