We are seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner with a passion for service excellence to join our Women’s Healthcare team in the Little Elm area. As a CNM, you would be responsible to provide comprehensive, patient-centered women  health and midwifery services across the lifespan, including gynecologic care, prenatal and postpartum care, family planning, reproductive health, and preventive services. The CNM works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, behavioral health specialists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse and underserved patient population.

The position promotes health equity, patient education, and continuity of care while supporting the mission of HHM.

Here s a sneak peek at what you ll do :

  • Provide routine/annual exams and sick visits, alongside preventative screenings and care
  • Provide comprehensive women  health services, including annual wellness exams, gynecologic evaluations, family planning, contraceptive management, and preventive care
  • Conduct physical examinations and assessments of pregnant individuals, including monitoring fetal development and maternal health throughout pregnancy
  • Educate and counsel pregnant individuals on prenatal care, nutrition, and childbirth preparation
  • Assist with labor and delivery, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support
  • Perform newborn assessments and provide postpartum care to both the newborn and the mother
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient interactions and progress
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources
  • Perform office-based procedures
  • Work with a diverse, underserved patient population in the heart of Dallas
What you need to succeed

To become one of our CARES-givers, you will have excellent patient engagement, strong communication skills and an eye for continuous improvement. You will also have the following:

  • BSN and/or NP and/or active license to practice as a Midwife and/or graduate of ACNM-accredited Certified Nurse Midwifery Education Program required, along with national board-certification in midwifery from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent; current RN or NP license to practice in the state of Texas
  • Experience in an FQHC, community health center, hospital, women  health clinic, or obstetrics/gynecology practice preferred
  • Registered and have current DEA, DPS and other such certificates to legally operate as a practitioner in the State of Texas or be able to obtain
  • Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications required
  • Excellent patient engagement and communication skills
  • Experience serving multicultural and multilingual patient populations
  • Experience with eClinical

    Works or similar
  • MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
