Role:
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) providing compassionate, timely care to sexual assault victims.
Responsibilities:Conduct medical-forensic exams, provide prophylaxis for pregnancy and STIs, document findings photographically, and facilitate medical, psychological, and legal follow-up support.
Qualifications:- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Valid and current RN license in Texas.
- Current SANE certification from the Texas Attorney General or in-progress, with certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Current TNCC or completion within 6 months of hire.
Two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care experience preferred.
Skills:Compassionate communication, forensic documentation, and ability to work flexible hours including on-call shifts.
Additional info:The role involves variable shifts, including night shifts, and requires availability for on-call duties to ensure program coverage.
