Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with state and specialty standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, using nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, Manage." You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
What you will do in this role:
- Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by providers and ensure thorough documentation. Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action for unintended responses.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring understanding by translating complex terminology.
What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
Program Requirements
- Seasonal RNs required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
- May be asked to float to another facility within close geography that has emergent staffing needs.
- Four weekend shifts required each 4‑week schedule period.
- During the 32‑week period, required to work two holiday shifts (as defined by Department Manager or designee).
- Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call‑off. No guaranteed hours.
- Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses.
- Seasonal RNs will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.
- Current FT/PT & PRN employees not eligible to join seasonal program for 2026–27, except RNs that participated in previous year.
- Current employees of HWS not eligible for the seasonal program.
- Shifts may vary based on department needs.
