RN Cardiac Rehab

As a RN Cardiac Rehab, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

• This is a Full Time Day shift position. Hours will vary but will most likely be 7:45am-5:15pm Mon., Wed., Thurs. Tuesday and Friday will be 8:00am - 1:00pm. *

As an RN Cardiac Rehab center, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on patient populations in Health and Rehabilitation Center. You will provide high quality rehabilitation to meet the needs of in-patients and out-patients. The center serves adolescent, adult and geriatric patients for all phases of rehabilitation. The patient population most common will be:

• Cardiac patients
• Pulmonary patients
• Diabetic patients
• Apparently health individuals
• Other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

• Associates Degree required to start, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
• Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• ACLS required within 1 year of hire or transfer issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
• Acute care experience in age specific rehabilitation
• Exercise testing, training, and plan of care for patient population defined
• Competent group teaching skills required
• Minimum of 1 year experience with cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation preferred
