Role:
A Registered Nurse provides high-level, technical patient care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. They use the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while supervising and directing other team members.
Responsibilities:Communicate clearly, build collaborative relationships, ensure safe and therapeutic environments, document patient information accurately, administer medications and IVs safely, and promote patient-centered care. They take accountability for their performance and professional growth, continually seeking to improve the patient experience and support team objectives.
Qualifications & Skills:Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a current Texas nursing license, and possess Basic Life Support certification. Preferred candidates have a BSN and at least 12 months of RN experience or completion of a Nurse Residency Program. Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards is essential. The role requires working with confidential information and demonstrating strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
Additional Requirements:Ability to work in a highly technical environment, adapt to various age-specific care needs, and operate safely in environments with potential hazards such as exposure to blood, body fluids, and skin irritants. Physical demands include standing, moving, lifting, and reaching, with a focus on safety and accuracy in patient care tasks.
