American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Ortho/Med-Surg unit requiring ACLS, BLS, and Med-Surg experience for a 13-week night shift assignment.

• Post-surgical Ortho/Med-Surg unit with 22 beds and 36 staff members
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with ancillary support
• Common procedures include Tarlov/meningeal cyst removal, joint reconstruction, hip and knee surgery, and lumbar/cervical disc and orthopedic spine surgery
• Equipment used includes PCA pumps, ice machines, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, telemetry boxes, and IV pumps
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• No on-call requirements
• Frequent floating within the facility to Telemetry, with occasional floating to another facility location
• 13-week assignment length

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg experience required
• Ortho experience and PCU experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Professional reference required (two references required for Florida and Missouri candidates)

• Provide post-surgical nursing care to orthopedic and spine patients
• Heavier patient volume typically occurs mid-week, requiring flexibility with scheduling
• Excessive RTO requests will not be approved
• Energetic, team-oriented personality is a strong fit for this unit
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
