Position
Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) Department – PRN, Night Shift – Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Uptown
ResponsibilitiesThe RN will provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting and demonstrate initiative, flexibility and responsibility with minimal supervision. The RN must triage patients safely, rapidly and accurately; determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs and factors influencing patient flow; communicate with Emergency Department physicians regarding changes in patient status, symptoms and diagnostic results;
and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience as an RN in a hospital Emergency Department or critical care.
- Registered Nurse, currently licensed in Texas.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
- CEN or TNCC preferred.
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
