American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least one year of experience and current ACLS/BLS certification.
Details- Work in a hospital Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- 13-week assignment with Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Monday through Friday schedule
- On-call responsibilities required
- Epic EMR experience required for consideration
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
- Current certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA preferred, military certifications accepted, ARC not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency in Cath Lab procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, and PCI
- Experience with IABP placement/removal and Impella insertion
- Skilled in sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems (Perclose, Star Close), and ACT monitoring
- Knowledge of antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, thrombolytics, and reversal agents
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Experience monitoring procedural sedation and using the Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale
- Familiarity with infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE
- State-issued prior to consideration
- Perform circulate duties for cardiac catheterization procedures in both diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab settings
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation and emergency medications as needed
- Experience with rotablator atherectomy, carotid stenting, TAVR, and angioplasty preferred
- Familiarity with upper and lower extremity angiography and vascular studies preferred
- Pulmonary angiography and embolization experience preferred
- Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at the local rate
- RTO requests limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request approved during Nov-Jan holiday season
- All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing
