As an agency RN, you will deliver direct patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams, and ensure high standards of safety and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychological assessments of patients upon admission and throughout their care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- Administer medications, intravenous (IV) therapies, and treatments accurately and in compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor, record, and report changes in patient condition or vital signs to attending physicians and healthcare team members.
- Maintain complete and accurate electronic health records (EHR/EMR) in a timely manner.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, infection control protocols, and facility policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Texas RN License or valid eNLC Compact RN License.
- Certifications:
- Active BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred or required depending on specialty/facility.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of recent clinical bedside experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and adaptability to fast-paced clinical environments.
