Gyn Onc Clinic RN Sr. - Dallas Presbyterian

Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Dallas Presbyterian location in the Gyn Onc department. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30 am‑5 pm) with no weekends, calls or major holidays.

Under general supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care for patients, adhering to national and company standards. The RN recognizes physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care, participates in quality initiatives, and supports compliance with the US Oncology Compliance Program.

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards.
• Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
• Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
• Manage medication refill requests and record information in the patient chart.
• Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments.
• Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the chart.
• Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team, coordinating services related to patient care.
• Assist patients in locating available community resources.
• Engage in inter‑professional collaboration.
• Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

Level I

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Maintain continuing education requirements.
• 0–3 years nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.

Level II

• Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.

Level Senior

• Minimum five (5) years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology (strongly preferred).
• Oncology certification preferred.
