Opportunities available in the heart of Kaufman

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for service excellence to join our Family Medicine Healthcare team in the Kaufman area. The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) provides comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients across the lifespan, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care. The FNP collaborates with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while promoting wellness and disease prevention.

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across all age groups.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance withstate regulations and scope of practice.
  • Provide preventive healthcare services, including immunizations, screenings, and health education.
  • Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and obesity.
  • Counsel patients and families on disease prevention, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and wellness strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.

What you need to succeed

  • BSN/MSN from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent; current advanced practice license to practice in the state of Texas
  • Registered and have current DEA, DPS and other such certificates to legallyoperateas apractitioner in the State of Texas or be able to obtain
  • National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC or FNP-C) is a plus
  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Texas
  • Experience in primary care, family medicine, community health, or outpatient settings preferred.
  • Excellent patient engagement and communication skills
  • Experience in community health centers and/or non-profits is preferred
  • Experience serving multicultural and multilingual patient populations
  • Experience with eClinical

    Works or similar
  • MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Teams, Word,PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Have a servant heart with the desire to make a positive impact
