Position: Nurse Manager (RN) Emergency Services

The Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department is responsible for the daily clinical and operational leadership of a fast-paced acute care Emergency Department. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while promoting operational excellence, employee engagement, and regulatory compliance. The Nurse Manager oversees staffing, budgeting, quality improvement, patient flow, and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational and clinical leadership for the Emergency Department.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and employee performance.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, and hospital leadership.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and best practices.
  • Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Monitor department metrics, patient satisfaction, and throughput.
  • Assist with budget preparation and fiscal accountability.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Current Texas RN or Multi-State Compact RN license.
  • ACLS, AHA or ARC, ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
  • TNCC, ENPC or CEN within 18 months of hire.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
  • Experience managing high-volume Emergency Departments.
  • Strong background in quality improvement, staffing, budgeting, and physician collaboration.
This is a FT position Evening position no weekends - shift starts @ 2 pm

Compensation - the minimum starting hourly rate is $51.47/hr, salary will go as high as $160k which will be based on years of RN work experience and qualifications

Must-Haves
  • BSN and active RN license.
  • Emergency Department leadership experience.
  • Five years of progressive nursing leadership.
  • Experience with staffing, budgeting, physician relationships, and quality improvement.
Experience Flexibility
  • Current ED Nurse Managers preferred but not required
  • Strong Assistant Nurse Managers with significant operational responsibility may be considered.
