Certified Nursing Assistant

This contract Certified Nursing Assistant
- Psych position is a 26-week assignment in or near Mesquite, Texas. The role involves providing direct patient care to psychiatric patients and collaborating with the healthcare team to implement care plans. It offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
- Provide direct patient care to psychiatric patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations and interventions.
- Execute medication reminders and assist with daily living activities.
- Document patient progress and report any significant changes to the supervising nurse.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CNA license for the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric CNA experience.
- Proven experience working with psychiatric patient populations.
- Experience in a hospital or psychiatric facility setting.
- Ability to verify CNA license via the Texas Tulip system.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and nights.
- Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and daily activities.
Skills:
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification.
- Premium pay 13% above market, weekly direct deposit, next-day pay options soon.
