The Gynecology Adolescent Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) delivers comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare to adolescent patients in an outpatient setting at Children’s Hospital in Dallas and Plano. The APP collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care focused on prevention, education, and wellness.
The provider cares for patients with concerns including menstrual disorders, contraception management, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), pelvic pain, sexually transmitted infections, and other adolescent gynecologic conditions. The role emphasizes building trusting relationships with patients and families, promoting healthy development, ensuring confidentiality when appropriate, and supporting positive health outcomes through evidence-based practice and patient education. Schedule:
Monday-Friday daytime hrs, no weekends nights, or call.

Graduate of a master’s degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.
OR
Master’s degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program. Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.
Licensure and CertificationCertification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification required. Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board.
OR
Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing. Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing.
Current applicable Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Life Support certification(s) based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.
JOB DUTIES- Conducts and documents comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis, including psychological status.
