We are seeking a
Medical-Surgical Charge Nurse,also referred as a Med Surg Charge Nurse or Charge RN. The charge nurseoversees the efficient functioning of the Medical Surgical units, balancing administrative duties with patient care. This Registered Nurse manages staffing, assigning duties based on skill and patient load while providing guidance and support to the nursing team. Charge nurses manage complex care cases, resolve conflicts, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with healthcare policies, all while fostering a cohesive, efficient team environment that enhances patient care.

• Act as the primary supervisory figure for Med/Surg nursing staff during shifts, ensuringoptimalcare delivery and efficient patient flow

• Assess patient conditions, prioritize patient needs based on severity, andallocateresources effectively to providetimelycare

• Mentor and support nursing staff, providing guidance, conflict resolution, and performance feedback tomaintaina cohesive work team

• Serve as a liaison between physicians, nurses, patients, and families, ensuring clear communication about treatment plans and patient status

• Ensure readiness to respond swiftly to medical emergencies, coordinating with medical teams for critical interventions

• Implement hospital policies,maintainpatient safety standards, and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements

Full benefits at Prime Healthcare:

• 1. Current and valid state RN License.
• 2. Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Current ACLS 30 days upon of hire and maintain current.
• 4. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred.
• 5. PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients.
