Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Role: A Registered Nurse providing high-level, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, technical environment.

• Deliver direct and indirect nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Supervise and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure age-appropriate, quality care.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and team members, fostering a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation and administer medications and IV therapy safely.
• Support professional growth, performance accountability, and continuous improvement in patient experience.
• Adhere to hospital policies, standards, and safety protocols.
• Take initiative in professional development and team building activities.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas nursing license and Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program.
• Knowledge of hospital policies, care standards, and confidentiality.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Additional Requirements: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with exposure to blood, body fluids, and various hazards, following safety protocols. Focus on age-specific care considerations and maintaining a collaborative, patient-focused approach.
