American Traveler is hiring a Medical Oncology RN with 1+ year of oncology experience and required ONC certification for a 13-week travel assignment.

• Medical Oncology unit with 41 beds
• Day shift 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with Tuesday starts
• Patient ratios of 4:1 up to 5:1 maximum
• Uses Baxter pumps and Meditech EMR
• Rotating weekend and on-call requirements
• Team-centered care approach

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ONC (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required for all RNs working in Oncology
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Oncology experience required
• Strong understanding of sterile dressing changes and infection prevention required
• Solid understanding of blood and electrolyte replacement protocols required
• Familiarity with ports and central lines preferred
• General medical oncology understanding preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Perform daily blood and electrolyte replacement and sterile dressing changes
• Scrub color is royal blue, monogrammed with hospital name; hospital-approved jackets permitted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• No previous employment history restrictions specified for this facility
