Registered Nurse – Neuro Telemetry (Travel Contract)

San Antonio, TX | Acute Care

Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Rotation weekends with 2 weekend day commitments with flexibility to meet the needs of the unit

• Provide direct patient care on a Neuro Telemetry unit, monitoring and responding to changes in neurological and cardiac status
• Perform peripheral IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, and nasogastric tube (NGT) insertions
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation using Meditech
• Participate in weekend rotation with 2 weekend day commitments per schedule cycle
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy

• Active Texas RN License — temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
• Telemetry experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

• Experience with neuro-stroke, seizure management, and neurological disorders
• Cardiac nursing experience
• Neuro-surgical nursing background
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system

• Opportunity to work in a well-established medical center with a broad range of specialties including neurosciences, cardiology, and cancer care
• Gain experience in a high-acuity Neuro Telemetry environment with a projected start date of August 2026
