The ECMO specialist plays a vital role in developing and implementing treatment plans for ECMO patients, collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret, adjust, and complete patient care specific to ECMO therapy.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, and execute ECMO treatments
- Communicate effectively with medical team to interpret patient needs
- Provide education related to ECMO care
- Bachelor’s degree and completed ECMO or Extracorporeal Circulation training
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years critical care experience
