Make an Impact Every DayAs a Veterinary Assistant or Technician, you'll help provide compassionate, high-quality care while supporting the veterinarians and the rest of the hospital team.
Your day may include:
- Providing hands‑on care for hospitalized and outpatient patients
- Assisting veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Preparing patients for surgery and other medical procedures
- Obtaining patient histories and monitoring vital signs
- Collecting blood and other laboratory samples
- Assisting with diagnostics and in‑house laboratory testing
- Supporting radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and other diagnostic services
- Administering medications as directed
- Assisting with anesthesia and surgical procedures based on training and experience
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Communicating with clients about patient care and treatment instructions
- Helping patients feel safe and comfortable throughout their visit
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
- Working closely with doctors and teammates to provide an exceptional client and patient experience
