Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Healthcare Compliance
Are you highly organized, analytical, and passionate about accuracy? We're seeking a Compliance Specialist to support regulatory compliance initiatives within a healthcare environment. This role focuses primarily on Sunshine Act (CMS Open Payments) reporting, data reconciliation, and compliance operations, while also supporting grants administration and other compliance programs. The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, identifying inconsistencies, improving processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Compensation: $38-$40/hr DOE
Availability: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Compliance Reporting (80%)
- Manage day-to-day Sunshine Act (CMS Open Payments) reporting activities.
- Review, validate, reconcile, and analyze healthcare provider (HCP) spend data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate reporting discrepancies and partner with internal stakeholders to resolve data issues.
- Prepare accurate reporting files for quarterly and annual Open Payments submissions.
- Maintain detailed documentation, audit trails, and compliance records.
- Support data uploads and maintenance within compliance management systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, reporting requirements, and internal policies.
- Serve as a resource for compliance reporting questions and recommend process improvements.
- Operations & Administrative Support (20%)
- Assist with grants administration, tracking, and documentation.
- Support HCP consultant management and related payment activities.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and reporting records.
- Assist with policy updates, audits, and other compliance initiatives as assigned.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Compliance team.
- 5+ years of healthcare compliance or related experience.
- Experience supporting Sunshine Act (CMS Open Payments) reporting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.
- Experience working with healthcare provider (HCP) spend data and compliance reporting.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Customer-service mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience with compliance management systems, grants administration, or CMS Open Payments submissions is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree and healthcare industry experience preferred.
