Join one of the world’s largest Clinical Research Organizations and play a key role in advancing new medical treatments. Our Early Phase Unit is seeking a Lab Technician to support healthy volunteer clinical trials and help generate high‑quality data that shapes the future of medicine.
This is a PRN,
office-based position in Dallas, TX
.
In this hands‑on role, you’ll work directly with study samples and support a wide variety of early‑phase clinical trials. No two days are the same.
Key responsibilities include:
- High volume collecting, handling, processing, and shipping specimens (including PK samples).
- Operating and maintaining lab equipment and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.
- Troubleshooting sample or equipment issues.
- Managing reagent and supply inventories.
- Safely handling hazardous materials.
- Supporting daily lab workflows and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- At least 1 year of laboratory experience.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment.
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail.
- Comfort working with biological specimens and using PPE as required.
- Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
- Occasional drives to site locations, occasional domestic travel.
- Exposure to biological fluids.
- Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves.
- Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.
- Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment.
- Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
- Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
- Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Varied hours may be required.
