Director of QA/QC - Mission Critical Electrical Construction - Dallas, TX

The QA/QC Director is a senior leadership role responsible for developing, leading, and continuously improving the company’s quality assurance and quality control programs across mission‑critical projects. This position establishes company-wide quality standards, drives operational excellence, and ensures compliance with client requirements, industry regulations, and internal procedures.

Working closely with executive leadership, operations, and project teams, the Director oversees quality performance, risk mitigation, commissioning support, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain company‑wide QA/QC standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Lead QA/QC operations across multiple projects and regions
  • Monitor quality performance through KPIs, audits, inspections, and reporting systems
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and client requirements
  • Support commissioning, turnover, and client acceptance processes
  • Collaborate with Operations, Safety, and Prefabrication teams to integrate quality processes
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for quality‑related issues
  • Develop QA/QC training programs and support workforce development
  • Represent the company in client meetings, audits, and quality reviews
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, construction quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with quality reporting platforms, commissioning systems, and data analysis tools
  • Detail‑oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Lead and support QA/QC Managers, Leads, Inspectors, and Technicians
  • Establish performance expectations and accountability standards
  • Mentor and develop QA/QC personnel
  • Support staffing, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives
Work Environment and

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel to job sites and regional offices as needed
  • Ability to walk construction sites and work in varying environmental conditions
  • Ability to sit, stand, and work on a computer for extended periods
  • Must comply with all jobsite safety and PPE requirements
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in QA/QC, quality management, or construction leadership roles
  • Experience supporting large‑scale mission‑critical or infrastructure projects preferred
  • Strong background in commissioning, turnover, and integrated systems testing
  • Experience implementing and leading company‑wide QA/QC programs
Preferred Certifications
  • OSHA 30; OSHA 500/510 preferred
  • CQE, CMQ/OE, PMP, LEAN/Six Sigma, or similar certifications preferred
  • Commissioning certifications such as CCP or CxA preferred
Tools and Systems
  • QA/QC and commissioning platforms such as CxAlloy, Compass, or similar systems
  • Project management and reporting tools including Procore, Bluebeam, and Power BI
  • Standard office technology and PPE for field visits
