QC Inspector - 2nd Shift (3:00-11:00pm)

Job SummaryUnder general direction, the Quality Control Inspector is primarily responsible for all inspecting and testing conducted on site including finished and intermediate products, and all materials. The Quality Control Inspector also coordinates testing at external labs, reviews filling record information for accuracy and legibility per current good manufacturing processes, and verifies all production activities in weighing, compounding and filling. The Quality Control Inspector reports updates on the status of all projects and initiatives to the leader.
EssentialRoles and Responsibilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
- Basic computer skills using Word and Excel.
- 1 year of experience with GMP and GDP.
- 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality role.
- ASQ Quality Certification is a plus.
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
- Good communication and interaction skills.
- Able to follow written work instructions.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as scheduled.
- Problem Solving and decision-making.
- Must be able to speak, write and read English. Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Able to properly use standard inspection equipment (calipers, thickness gage and other, gages, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand and apply the information contained on technical documentation, procedures, drawings, and understand basic geometric tolerances.
- Must be capable of performing job-related tasks associated with use of a mechanical and/or electrical pallet jack, in moving pallets/skids, for which documented training is mandatory.
