Position: Safety Specialist (CHST)

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Safety Specialist role based around Dallas, TX. The Safety Specialist will develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety programs, policies, and procedures across client sites and EMKO facilities. Daily responsibilities include conducting safety inspections and audits, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company standards. The role involves delivering safety training sessions, maintaining safety documentation and incident records, and supporting accident investigations to determine root causes and preventative measures.

The Safety Specialist will collaborate with management and frontline teams to promote a strong safety culture, drive continuous improvement, and provide practical guidance on risk reduction and best practices.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in Health & Safety and Occupational Health to assess workplace risks and develop effective safety programs.
  • Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) skills to support regulatory compliance and integrated environmental and safety management.
  • Candidates should possess Safety Training skills to design and deliver engaging training sessions for diverse employee groups.
  • Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills to analyze incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Knowledge of relevant OSHA standards, local and federal regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork, perform site inspections, and work in data centers.
  • Must currently hold a CHST.
  • Preferred qualifications include a degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, and prior experience in a safety-focused role.
