Quality Engineer

I'm partnering with a well-established, growing manufacturer seeking a Quality Engineer to lead the Quality function at its Mesquite, TX facility. Although the title is Quality Engineer
, this position is functionally a Quality Manager
, with responsibility for overseeing the plant's quality systems, supervising Quality Technicians, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Lead the plant Quality Management System (QMS)
• Supervise Quality Technicians and champion quality initiatives
• Manage customer and supplier quality issues, corrective actions, PPAPs, FAIs, and 8D investigations
• Conduct audits, capability studies, and supplier quality activities
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering to improve quality and eliminate recurring issues
• Lead continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives

• Manufacturing quality experience preferred (2+ years ideal, but not required)
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred, but not required
• Experience with QMS, PPAP, corrective actions, audits, root cause analysis, and quality metrics
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Military leadership experience is a plus, but not required
• English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus

Travel: Less than 20% within the continental United States.
