Motion Recruitment has partnered with a health services client and seeking a QA Tester (Mid-Level) — Manual to join our QA team supporting web and back-end testing in a .NET / Azure environment! We're looking for someone with strong technical fundamentals and — just as important — the right attitude: curious, self-driven, and not afraid to dig in and figure things out.

This position is a 6+ months contract and is Hybrid in Dallas, TX.

This is Strictly a W2 Role. No CTC candidates will be entertained. Candidates who can work without requiring any visa sponsorship now are in the future will be considered.

Ideal candidates must be willing to go for an in-person interview.

A figure-it-out mindset. You research solutions independently, know where to look, and don't wait to be told every step.

Excellent communication skills. You can clearly explain your testing process and findings to the team.

Strong SQL skills. Confident writing queries, joins, and validating data across tables.

Experience testing web applications in a .NET / Azure environment.

Exposure to API testing.

Design, document, and execute test plans and test cases, with guidance from senior team members.

Perform end-to-end and manual testing across web and back-end systems.

Validate data integrity using SQL queries.

Support testing of .NET applications hosted in Azure.

Assist in building automated test scripts using Playwright, Python preferred.

Perform functional, regression, UAT, and basic performance and back-end testing.

Identify, document, and track defects alongside development teams.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Continuously learn and grow in test strategy, automation, and quality engineering.

2 to 3 years of QA experience, including manual and end-to-end testing.

1 to 2 years of SQL experience for data validation.

Exposure to testing .NET applications and cloud-based systems, Azure preferred.

6 or more months of test automation experience using Python or similar.

Familiarity with Playwright or comparable automation tools.

Understanding of functional, regression, UAT, and back-end testing.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

CI/CD pipeline exposure.

Performance or API testing experience.

Basic cloud testing knowledge.

Genuine interest in growing automation and technical testing skills.

Someone early to mid in their QA career with solid basics and the right mentality: self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to grow into a stronger automation and technical testing role.
