The Quality Auditor – Telecom Project Builds is responsible for performing detailed inspections of pre-staged telecommunications cabinet builds and on-site projects to ensure compliance with customer specifications, MOPs, cable matrices, rack-face drawings, Telcordia GR-1275, and Data One quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of telecom infrastructure and the ability to identify, document, and communicate defects to support remediation, quality improvement, and lessons learned.
FunctionalResponsibilities:
Inspect pre-staged telecom projects for workmanship, configuration, labeling, grounding, cabling, and power compliance. Review and interpret MOPs, cable matrices, rack-face drawings, and applicable specifications. Verify equipment placement and mounting, PDU installation, grounding, power termination, and P-tag accuracy. Inspect Twinax routing, securing, and bend-radius compliance. Verify chassis, PDU, fuse card, and cable flag labeling against approved documentation. Identify, document, photograph/illustrate, and communicate defects and non-conformances.
Complete and upload audit documentation to support remediation and continuous improvement.
Perform comprehensive build audits against customer and Data One standards. Validate configuration, equipment placement, grounding, power, labeling, and cable routing. Compare cable labeling and port assignments against cable matrices. Verify chassis and PDU labeling, host IDs, power assignments, amperage, load, and RU/shelf positions. Record audit findings accurately and communicate deficiencies to the appropriate teams. Support corrective actions, remediation, and lessons learned.
ExperienceRequired:
Telecom experience in Central Office, data center, mobility, or similar environments preferred. Ability to read and understand MOPs, cable matrices, and rack-face drawings. Working knowledge or awareness of Telcordia GR-1275. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify technical defects. Ability to effectively document, communicate, and illustrate findings. Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable using iOS and/or Android applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
