Position: Leasing Agent (46639)

Overview

High-volume Property Management Company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Leasing Agent to support the continued growth of our Texas portfolio. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and the flexibility to collaborate with multiple team members.

The Leasing Agent will oversee the end-to-end leasing process, including screening prospective tenants, coordinating communication between applicants, property management, and maintenance teams, and ensuring all eligibility requirements are met. Responsibilities also include managing security deposits and fees, maintaining accurate records, and updating tenant and landlord information in the system. This position is based fully onsite at our office in Addison, TX.

An Active Texas Real Estate license is required in order to be considered.

Summary Of Responsibilities
  • Report to Property Manager, Leasing, and Regional Manager for weekly tasks and responsibilities
  • Record and update details of prospective tenants into computer database swiftly
  • Liaising with tenants to provide information and address their complaints and concerns
  • Communicate with prospects and realtors via email and phone
  • Informing field team of any issues
  • Advertising available properties as necessary
  • Screening prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements
  • Completing lease applications and verifying application information
  • Informing prospective tenants of results of applications
  • Accepting rent payments, security deposits and other applicable fees
  • Maintaining and storing documentation effectively
  • Any other daily tasks associated with the leasing of properties
  • Recording and updating details of prospective and existing landlords and tenants into a computer database swiftly
  • Examining properties and informing maintenance staff of issues
  • Advertising available properties and conducting property tours as part of marketing activities as necessary
  • Screening prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements
  • Completing lease applications and assisting with verification of application information
  • Informing prospective tenants of results
  • Inspecting properties when tenants take occupation and vacate
  • Liaising with tenants to provide information and address their complaints and concerns
  • Maintaining and storing documentation effectively
  • Accepting rent payments, security deposits and other applicable fees
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Essential Qualifications
  • Active Texas Real Estate License. As an Open House employee, you will be required to hang your license with our brokerage and will not be permitted to practice Real Estate while employed.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (both written and spoken) is highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Single-Family Property Management with a strong understanding of industry practices.
  • Familiarity with MLS, Property ware, Salesforce, and Rently preferred, but not required.
  • Reliable transportation with a valid Driver’s License and insurance.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and across departments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring positive interactions with residents and clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor at all times.

A final offer of employment from Open House Realty & Investments will only be extended after all required screenings have been completed and cleared.
