Praxis Title & Escrow
, a division of Darrow Everett LLP, is expanding into the greater Dallas market and seeking an Escrow Officer to join its growing team. The company has written over $1 Billion in title insurance, with a focus on commercial real estate - handling multi‑property and multi‑state closings across asset types such as retail, land, mixed‑use, multi‑family, and office properties. Praxis sees a significant opportunity in the Dallas market and is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial professional who shares its commitment to high‑touch service and fast‑paced problem‑solving to help lead the industry.

Position Overview

The Escrow Officer will assist with commercial real estate closings and support day‑to‑day escrow and closing operations. This role requires foundational commercial title experience gained at a national title insurer or title agency. Working closely with attorneys, lenders, clients, and internal team members, the Escrow Officer will help ensure accurate, timely closings while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and client service.

The position reports to the Lead Title Attorney and Company Officers and does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and manage commercial real estate closings, including retail, office, industrial, and multi‑property transactions, under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize settlement statements, disbursement schedules, and closing documentation.
  • Coordinate with company attorneys, lenders, and internal teams to assist in resolving title issues and support timely closings.
  • Assist with safeguarding, reconciling, and maintaining accurate escrow funds, files, and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients and transaction partners, providing responsive communication while supporting ongoing process and workflow improvements.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of title industry experience, with a focus on large escrow and commercial closings.
  • Experience with national title insurers or title agencies and managing complex, multi‑state transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of title, escrow, and closing regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication and client service skills, with proficiency in escrow software and financial reconciliation.
