Job Summary
As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our property management team. You will be the driving force behind maintaining high occupancy rates, enhancing tenant satisfaction, and supporting the overall management of residential and commercial properties. Your proactive approach and exceptional customer service skills will help create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.

What you’ll do

  • Assist in managing daily operations of the property, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
  • Coordinate property leasing activities, including showings, applications, and lease signings.
  • Handle tenant inquiries and concerns with professionalism, demonstrating strong conflict management skills to resolve issues effectively.
  • Support the maintenance team by overseeing property maintenance requests and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and customer relationship management to streamline operations.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and address any necessary repairs or improvements.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms for property services.
  • Engage in upselling opportunities to enhance tenant experiences and improve property revenue.
  • Have reliable transportation to travel to different properties and make business transactions.
  • Utilize Quickbooks for accounting of different accounting needs to include; bill entry, bill payments, and Tenant accounts.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven experience in property management or real estate administration is essential.
  • Strong understanding of time management.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with sales techniques to effectively market properties and attract new tenants.
  • Experience in legal administrative tasks related to real estate transactions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in office experience including phone etiquette, filing systems, and administrative support.
