Job Description & How to Apply Below

We’re partnering with a market-leading property tax consulting firm that’s continuing to grow its Commercial Real Estate (CRE) property tax practice is seeking an experienced, plug-and-play Property Tax Associate to join the team.

This is a great opportunity to step into a fast-growing real estate group where you’ll have immediate impact and clear visibility, without juggling sales or client management responsibilities.

Why this role stands out
  • Join a professional real estate team with strong leadership and room to influence how the practice evolves
  • Walk into a role designed for someone with real estate property tax experience
  • Focus on true consulting work (appeals, valuations, negotiations) while client success and sales teams handle the rest
  • Backed by a large, well-established platform with strong technology, processes, and national reach
What you’ll do
  • Manage real estate property tax administration for a portfolio of primarily CRE properties in Texas, with limited out-of-state exposure
  • Prepare and negotiate assessment appeals with local jurisdictions
  • Analyze valuations and drive reductions in taxable value
  • Prepare appeal documentation, tax estimates, and savings reports
  • Attend and present at informal and formal appeal hearings
  • Review and approve client tax bills
  • Stay current on real estate and property tax market trends
  • Travel as needed for hearings, inspections, and client meetings
What they’re looking for
  • 1–3 years of Commercial Real Estate property tax consulting or CRE appraisal experience
  • Multi-state property tax exposure is a plus
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Solid understanding of real estate valuation approaches (cost, sales, income)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently while collaborating with a team
  • Texas Property Tax Consulting License (TDLR) preferred
