- Turfgrass cultivar evaluation
- Turfgrass management
- Soil amendment research
- Irrigation and water management studies
- Herbicide evaluation trials
- Ecosystem services of urban lawns and alternative turf species
- Field maintenance of turfgrass research plots
- Mowing and general turfgrass management
- Data collection and evaluation of field trials
- Assisting with greenhouse and laboratory activities as needed
- B.S. degree (completed or in progress) in agronomy, horticulture, plant science, turfgrass science, or a related field
- Willing to work up to 20 hours per week
- Basic knowledge of turfgrass management practices
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good written and oral communication skills
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Operation and maintenance of turfgrass equipment (e.g., reel mowers, aerifiers, verticutters, sod harvesters)
- Installation or maintenance of irrigation systems
The position requires working in outdoor field environments and may involve travel to off‑campus research sites and collaborating institutions.
