Description
A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Ivan D'Orso, in the Department of Microbiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center* to study transcriptional regulatory mechanisms shaping immune cell fate and viral latency. The D'Orso Lab has many exciting, ongoing projects related to the transcription and epigenetic regulation of human and viral genes. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, interested to investigate various basic aspects of transcriptional regulation in the context of immune cell fate responses and HIV-1 latency.
To this end, we are using a multidisciplinary approach including cellular and molecular biology, chemical biology, and genomics. The Department of Microbiology provides a dynamic, collaborative, and integrative research and training environment with state-of-the-art facilities.

Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in mechanisms of transcription regulation with a strong background in molecular and cellular biology and/or genomics. The candidate should have a strong publication record in quality peer-reviewed journals, demonstrated creative thinking, be able to work independently and have the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
