Responsibilities
  • Participates with faculty in the development of experiments.
  • Conducts field and laboratory work.
  • Installs and maintains research/demonstration plots under the supervision of a resident faculty member.
  • Analyzes and maintains detailed records of data and prepares written summaries of results for inclusion in reports and manuscripts.
  • Collects background information for technical and non‑technical publications.
  • Utilizes computers to gather background research, conduct literature reviews, and generate statistical displays and reports.
  • Assists in ensuring availability of proper research equipment and laboratory supplies and procures supplies when necessary.
  • Performs other research or experimental duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a similar discipline.

Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with conducting field data collection and the analysis and presentation of data.
  • Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and technical equipment.
  • Ability to effectively utilize computer and applicable software for data management and presentation.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, including generating graphs.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Ability to function as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi‑task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of the mission and role of the land‑grant university system.
