- Participates with faculty in the development of experiments.
- Conducts field and laboratory work.
- Installs and maintains research/demonstration plots under the supervision of a resident faculty member.
- Analyzes and maintains detailed records of data and prepares written summaries of results for inclusion in reports and manuscripts.
- Collects background information for technical and non‑technical publications.
- Utilizes computers to gather background research, conduct literature reviews, and generate statistical displays and reports.
- Assists in ensuring availability of proper research equipment and laboratory supplies and procures supplies when necessary.
- Performs other research or experimental duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a similar discipline.
Skills and Abilities
- Experience with conducting field data collection and the analysis and presentation of data.
- Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and technical equipment.
- Ability to effectively utilize computer and applicable software for data management and presentation.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, including generating graphs.
- Good writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized.
- Ability to function as part of a team.
- Ability to multi‑task and work cooperatively with others.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of the mission and role of the land‑grant university system.
