Research Associate ​/ Market Research Analyst

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Research Associate / Market Research Analyst. The person in this role will collect and analyze data on solar energy markets, competitors, customer segments, and industry trends. Daily tasks include designing and conducting surveys or interviews, reviewing industry reports, and synthesizing findings into clear summaries, dashboards, and presentations. The role involves preparing written reports and visual materials to inform internal stakeholders and clients, as well as contributing to forecasting models and strategic recommendations.

The Research Associate / Market Research Analyst will collaborate with team members to refine research questions, validate data sources, and ensure the accuracy and clarity of all insights delivered.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Market Research and Market Analysis skills to evaluate industry trends, competitors, and customer behavior in solar energy.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret quantitative and qualitative data, identify patterns, and support evidence-based conclusions.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication and Presentations skills to translate complex findings into clear reports, slide decks, and briefings for varied audiences.
• Candidates should be comfortable with data tools and software (e.g., spreadsheets, basic statistical tools, or business intelligence platforms) for organizing and visualizing research results.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Relevant experience in market research, economics, business, or renewable energy is beneficial.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Marketing, Economics, Business, Environmental Studies, or Data Analytics is preferred but not strictly required with equivalent experience.
