Role Description
Dallas Country Club is seeking Servers to join our team at the Turtle Creek Grille. DCC was founded in 1896 and is the most exclusive and prestigious private club in the area. The Front of House Service Staff provides an unforgettable dining experience to our members while exceeding their expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Greets Members and guests as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
- Answers questions regarding the menu items with the knowledge to Suggestively sell beverages and menu items.
- Takes food and beverage orders and informs culinary team about any special cooking instructions/modifications.
- Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to Members and guests.
- Ensures that food is prepared correctly to the Members and guest's satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
Keeps managers informed of any issues that might affect quality or timing of service. - Collects plates and clears the table as Members and guests finish their meals.
- Presents dessertmenus, suggests, and serves dessert, coffee, and after-dinner drinks.
- Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and set upside station and performs assigned prep work.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Complete all assigned pre-shift side duties in a timely manner. - Thanks Members and guests, invite them to return.
- TABC Certification and Food Handlers Card Required
- Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
- At least 1-2 years of previous experience working as a server in a fine dining outlet.
- General Knowledge of Wine and Spirits
- Ability to work well as a team.
- Interacting with members and co-workers in a helpful, positive, upbeat, and professional manner
- Positive interpersonal skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
Previous knowledge of touch screen POS systems - preferred. - Must be available to work weekends and rotating shifts especially PM availability and holidays.
- Beer, wine, and spirits knowledge with the ability to make recommendations to guests.
- Ability to anticipate and respond to guests needs.
- Takes Pride in Appearance and Job performance.
