Server/Busser

Summary:

The purpose of this position is to interact with guests and ensure they have a great experience while dining vers are responsible for positive interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. They should be attentive to guest needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, and relaxed at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Clean and prepare tables, fill napkin dispensers, refill condiments, and wrap silverware.

Have knowledge of the current menu and specials.

Assist guests by directing them to tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, helping with selections, informing about menu details, and communicating orders to the kitchen via POS system.

Maintain a proper dining experience by delivering food and drinks, fulfilling customer needs, removing dishes, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.

Prepare the final bill, present the check, accept payments, and return change.

Bus and clean tables immediately after guests leave.

Perform cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the manager.

Fill in for absent staff as needed or directed.

Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.

Adhere to grooming and appearance standards as described in the Employee Handbook.

Apply correct for alcohol consumption and purchase.

Assist other servers as needed.

Wash dishes as assigned by the manager and during slow periods only.

Keep restrooms clean and stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications:

Ability to communicate clearly.

Basic knowledge of food presentation, preparation, and handling.

Basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate the POS system.

Ability to work in a standing position for long periods.

Ability to safely lift and maneuver trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.

Punctuality and reliable attendance.

Honesty and integrity.
