Member Specialist

Overview

Position Summary... What you'll do...

• Provide member service and resolve member issues and concerns; promote Sam's Club products and services; assist members with purchasing decisions and self-service technology; process member purchases; assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
• Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, conduct safety sweeps, and report unsafe situations to facility management.
• Maintain and organize entrance, exit, and surrounding areas; acknowledge members, verify membership cards, identify member needs, locate merchandise, and assist with transporting items while maintaining a safe shopping environment.
• Maintain paperwork, logs, and other required documentation; execute emergency response procedures; ensure compliance with company security and safety practices.
• Assist with training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures; teach new technology and tool functionality; deliver rollout training and continuous learning opportunities.
• Ensure area of responsibility is maintained according to company policies by properly handling returns; identify shrink and damages; zone the area and organize merchandise.
• Adhere to policy standards of ethics and integrity; apply Open Door Policy in executing business processes and practices.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and business partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and opportunities for improvement; adapt to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $24.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage at the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
