Retail Sales Associate

Pay: $10.00 to $14.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure outstanding customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. You will greet, engage, and interact with customers, process sales, loans, and other transactions, and assist with inquiries and problem resolution. The role involves working with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

• Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting, in accordance with law.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math calculation proficiency.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants will receive detailed information during the interview process.
