Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

Salary: $10.00 to $14.00 per hour. In addition, you can earn up to 8% commission on transactions, averaging an additional $7.55 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. They greet, engage, and interact with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They thrive on customer engagement and assist with inquiries and problem resolution across a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay is determined by work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
  • Perform sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Answer incoming calls per company standards.
  • Effectively communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully complete assigned training.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time in accordance with federal, state, local law (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age 18 years old.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
