Opportunity
Under direct supervision, the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli. The job includes two shifts: morning shift begins replenishing product as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager; the clerk assists customers throughout the shift and maintains cleanliness of the department.
Qualifications
- Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the public and co‑workers.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, occasionally up to 60 lbs.
Preferred
- Basic PC/Outlook skills.
- Retail Management Certificate.
