GENERAL PURPOSE

The Morning Stock Associate plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience for our Customers. You will engage with Customers positively, maintaining a clean and organized store environment while efficiently managing stock operations. Your responsibilities will vary widely to meet business needs, and you may be asked to assist with different functions throughout the store.

• Prioritize safety at all times by adhering to safe practices and immediately addressing any hazardous conditions.
• Ensure a safe shopping environment by maintaining clear pathways and attending to clutter.
• Show respect and courtesy to Customers and Associates, being friendly and professional in all interactions.
• Assist Customers with their inquiries, merchandise questions, and register transactions, all while providing a warm greeting and thanking them for their business.
• Respond promptly and effectively to Customer Service inquiries, calling for management support when necessary.
• Support and promote the Company brand in all interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces.
• Dress professionally and follow the Company's dress code at all times.
• Organize the store through assigned recovery tasks and ensure merchandise is presented according to guidelines.
• Expedite and display recently received merchandise with urgency to engage Customers effectively.
• Understand and adhere to Loss Prevention policies and practices.
• Safeguard confidential information and maintain integrity in all transactions.
• Follow cash handling and transaction policies meticulously.
• Demonstrate urgency and efficiency in completing tasks to maximize productivity.

Excellent communication skills are essential when interacting with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a respectful manner.

Ability to perform basic math functions commonly used in retail.

• Capacity to use all Store equipment, including registers and scanning devices.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the Store for the entirety of the shift.
• Ability to regularly bend, squat, kneel, reach, and carry items.
• Occasional lifting of items over 25 pounds will be required.
• Ability to operate janitorial and merchandise handling equipment.
• Certain assignments may require additional skills and qualifications.
• For Stockroom shifts:
  Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds.
