• Assist customers with bakery purchases and provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service.
• Clean shelving and display cases, fill and rotate self‑serve displays in the front of the store and the bakery area.
• Work with customers to take special orders and determine which items require baking or decoration in collaboration with the Baker.
• Support department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water to maintain cleanliness.
• Perform general tasks within the bakery under the direction of the Bakery Manager.
• Handle food in accordance with Food Handler Card certification or equivalent.

• Read and write Spanish and English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read, comprehend, and follow product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to customers, clients, and employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift up to 45 pounds; occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card or equivalent certification.
