Job Purpose:

- The Recovery Clerk at GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF DALLAS INC plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission of providing job training and employment opportunities to individuals facing barriers to employment. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the efficient recovery of donated goods, maintaining the quality and organization of inventory, and contributing to the overall success of the charitable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the recovery process of donated goods, ensuring items are sorted, processed, and prepared for sale in a timely manner.

- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, including the sorting area and storage facilities, to ensure safety and efficiency.

- Collaborate with team members to optimize recovery operations and improve processes for better inventory management.

- Assist in tracking inventory levels and reporting discrepancies to ensure accurate stock management.

- Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers, addressing inquiries and facilitating smooth donation transactions.

- Support the organization's goals by actively participating in team meetings and contributing ideas for process improvements.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations and mission of GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF DALLAS INC.Required

Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:

- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.

- Experience working in a not-for-profit or charitable organization is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities:

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.

- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and processing goods.

- Physical ability to lift and move items as needed, adhering to safety guidelines.
