• Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, provide excellent customer service to bakery customers.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases; clean shelving and display cases.
• Fill, rotate, and maintain self‑serve displays placed in front of the store and near the bakery.
• Take special orders and collaborate with the baker to determine items that need to be baked or decorated.
• Help keep the department clean by hosing down floors with soap and water.
• Maintain visual presentation and quality of bakery products.
• Follow the Food Handler Card or equivalent certification requirements.
• Support the Bakery Manager with daily tasks.

• Read and write Spanish and English.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently lift up to 45 lbs, occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.
• Have a Food Handler Card or equivalent certification.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra awesome).
